Axolotl

1. What is the approximate latitude and longitude of the lake where the Axolotls live? It is 19.30 degrees north and 99 degrees west.
2. Post a screen shot of Google Earth showing where the Axolotl lives.
3. What group of animals does the Axolotl belong to? It belongs in the amphibians species.
4. What makes the Axolotl different from other salamanders? It lives in the water with a neotenic state.
1. Name at least 2 different types of cells found in your body. Heart cells and eye cells.
2. What are the four basic letter codes to make DNA? A, T, C, and G.
3. What do genes do for a cell or a body? Take the gene that helps the body make hemoglobin (say: hee-muh-glow-bin) a hemoglobin is an important protein that is needed for red blood cells
4. How many chromosomes do humans have? 23 pairs of chromosomes for a total of 46.
1. Write your own song about the axolotls - you must include at least 5 actual scientific facts about the animal.
I like axolotls they live in lake Xochi Milco. Also in the base of Mexico. They are based on salamanders. Wound healing also does not allow for most animals to re-grow a lost limb. Last they can be black, or white, and even more. The end.
Make a how to guidebook for how to raise a baby axolotl:
Step1. You need other tank inmates, and other axolotls
Step 2. You should have the temperatures below 24 degrees Celsius 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 3. Axolotls are carnivores so you should give them a meat-based diet.
Step 4. Juvenile axolotls can be cannibalistic towards each other so they are best raised in separate enclosures but adults can be together though.
Step 5. Last step is that axolotls can get quite large so you should at least get a 15-20 gallon tank.
